OS X installation instructions

This installation has been tested on Intel Mac OS X 10.4.11.

How to deploy on a user machine

1. Download the binary package LineShapeKin_binary_OSX.v4.1.1.tgz

   ---

2. copy to your /usr/local/ (you need to have administrator privileges to do the installation)
• sudo cp LineShapeKin_binary_OSX.v4.1.1.tgz /usr/local

  ---

3. Unpack
   • cd /usr/local
   • sudo tar -xzvf LineShapeKin_binary_OSX.v4.1.1.tgz
   • sudo rm LineShapeKin_binary_OSX.v4.1.1.tgz

     ---

4. Add a line to your ~/.cshrc file to include path to /usr/local/LineShapeKin
   • set path = ($path /usr/local/LineShapeKin)

Test operation

1. Issue:
• cd

  ---

2. Re-set the environment:
   • source ~/.cshrc

     ---

3. Issue
   • Simulate
   You should see output like:

Usage: Simulate general_setup_name model_setup_name

Set up a simulation run

1. Create a folder for you simulation anywhere.
2. Change your Terminal working directory to this location.
3. Proceed with setting up your model as described in the Tutorial section Basic features of the package and an example of the simple binding process, no coupled equilibria. U model.
